This week's Top 5 List is filled with fantastic fall fun for the whole family!  See if you can find your way through the Ag Center's Corn Maze. In for something a little spooky? We got you covered. The Haunted Woods Trail,  Ghost Walk of Westminster, and Bedlam in the Boro are sure to scare you just the right amount! But wait, there's more fall festivities  this weekend, like the Piney Run Park Fall Festival, the Halloween Fun Trail & Fall Fest, and Carroll County Farm Museum's Fall Harvest Celebration. Help the Union Bridge Lions Club by checking out their Yard Sale and let out your Green Terror as McDaniel welcomes family, friends, and alumni to their Homecoming traditions. And don't miss 15th Annual Mason-Dixon Jeep Gathering at Union Mills Homestead!

1. Corn Maze

Friday, Saturday & Sunday - October 15th -17th 

$- Come test your skill at the Carroll Ag Center's Corn Maze

Cash Only: age 4 and under free. - age 5 to 15 is $5.00

age 16 and over is $10.00

Groups of 15 or more:  ages 5-15 is $4.00 - ages 16 and over is $8.00

Friday – 6-10pm

Saturday – 2-10pm

Sunday – 12-6pm

Last tickets will be sold 1 hour before closing.  Special hours can be arranged for groups.

2. Haunted Woods Trail

Friday, October 15th, 7:00 - 10:00 pm

Additional dates include Saturday, October 16th, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$- Recommended for children over 13, older kids and adults can enjoy a spooky night hike on the Haunted Woods Trail. Tickets are $10 online or $12 at the door for each person, for more information contact Charlotte’s Quest via email at Membershipteam@charlottesquest.org

3. Bedlam in the Boro

Friday, October 15⋅7:00 – 10:00pm

Open Friday and Saturday nights October 8th through the 30th from 7-10 pm.

Hosted by the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department, Bedlam in the Boro offers a haunted hayride and a house of horror. The hayride is a lengthy 3 miles through the woods, with scary scenes along the way. Tickets are sold from 7-10 pm, for $10-$20. Food stands, all run by volunteers, offer treats to guests as they experience the scares. Be sure to check the weather before you go, by calling 410-239-GHOST (4467), as rides have the potential to be cancelled.

4. Yard Sale

Saturday, October 16, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

FREE-  Want to support the Union Bridge Lions Club? Have stuff to sell? The Lions are having a Yard Sale where various items like furniture, clothes and household items may even be free. They are in search of vendors, and you can set up a table at no cost. Proceeds from the Lions Club area go directly to the Lions Club of Union Bridge. To reserve a space, text Charlene Johns at 443-605-6252. 
 

 

5. McDaniel Homecoming

Saturday, October 16th, 9:00 – 10:00 am

McDaniel College welcomes alumni, families, and friends to celebrate with classic McDaniel Homecoming festivities! Class reunions, watching the numerous sports, and tailgating the football game are just a few of the activities that will occur. 6. Ghost Walk of Westminster

Friday, October 15th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Other dates offered include October 22nd and 29th from 6:30-8:30 pm. 

A 1.5 mile walk introduces guests to the local ghosts and legends of Westminster, and registrants will be contacted with updates in the case of bad weather.

7. Piney Run Park Fall Festival

Saturday, October 16th, 10:30 – 4 pm

Join Piney Run in celebrating fall by participating in their numerous fun activities! A few things offered include food and artesian vendors, live music, crafts, wagon rides, and so much more! Piney Run hopes to see you there.

8. Halloween Fun Trail & Fall Fest

Saturday, October 16th, 3:00 - 7:00 pm

Additional dates include October 17th from 3 - 7 pm
$- Does playing games, making crafts, and hiking sound fun to your kid? If so, check out the Halloween Fun Trail and Fall Fest Area hosted by Charlotte's quest nature center. Tickets are $8 online, or $10 at the door.

9. Fall Harvest Celebration 

Saturday, October 16th, 10 am - 4 pm 

FREE- Learn traditional harvest experiences like apple butter making, farm machinery demonstrations, wagon rides, and scarecrow making while partaking in the country foods and crafts on sale! Hosed by the Carroll County Farm museum, admission is free.

10. 15th Annual Mason-Dixon Jeep Gathering

Sunday, October 17th, 10:00 – 3:00 pm

Beep beep! Come out and see a large collection of Willys and Jeeps this Sunday. The 15th annual gathering is sure to blow your socks off! (Hopefully not your tops, but with Jeeps anything is possible!)

11. Davy Knowles

Tuesday, October 19th, 8:30pm

$$$- Modern Blues Rock artist Davy Knowles is coming to Carroll County! His impressive portfolio includes triple-A radio airplay, appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America, two top 5 Billboard Blues charting albums. He has also played with artists such as The Who, Lynrd Skynrd, and Kid Rock to name a few. He will be preforming at the Carroll Arts Center, tickets are for sale online.
