1. Good Friday Fish & Chicken Fry
Friday, March 29th from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The Strawbridge United Methodist Church invites you to a Good Friday Fish & Chicken Fry . Come join us for a day of food and fellowship.
Chicken and fish dinners. Free will offering will be collected for dine in. $16 charge for carry out orders. See you there!
2. 17th Annual PEEPshow
Friday, March 29⋅10:00am – 6:30pm
This sweet fundraising event returns to the TownMall of Westminster with more marshmallow masterpieces! Entries include sculptures, dioramas, mosaics and even videos, all crafted from or inspired by PEEPS®, those colorful marshmallow treats made by the Just Born company in Bethlehem, PA. You can view the entries for free and buy votes for your favorites, with all proceeds benefiting the Carroll County Arts Council!
3. The Fabulous Artists of Fairhaven & Cross Keys
Friday, March 29⋅4:00 – 6:00pm
A multimedia art exhibit taking place at Gribs Gallery & Studio in New Windsor. The exhibit opens on Saturday, 3/16 and runs through 4/27. It features works by senior artists from these two communities who work in a wide range of media including; paint, fibers and wood turning.
Gribs Gallery & Studio is a new venue in New Windsor that will host six exhibits yearly. It is located at 208 Main Street. The gallery is actually located behind the house and is a separate building that opens onto Manning Drive. There is a large parking lot in front of the gallery
The gallery is open every Friday from 4-6 pm and every Saturday from 12-4 pm. However, if you see the Open flag flying, feel free to stop in. You can also make an appointment by calling Sharon Gribbin-Lindemon at, 443-536-9198.
4. Friday Night Weekly Bingo
Friday, March 29⋅5:30 – 10:00pm
Doors open at 5:30pm games start at 7pm. Food for purchase. Bingo played 20 ways including regular games, specials, U-Pick-Em, split the pot, quickie, and progressive jackpot.
5. Find Your Purpose - Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Music Festival
Saturday, March 30th at 3:00 PM
The Find Your Purpose (FYP) organization, formally known as the Wisdom Court Kid's Club, was established in 2021 as a non-profit organization under the Community Foundation of Carroll County. On Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 3:00pm, at City Park in Westminster, MD we will be hosting our 17th annual Easter Egg Hunt. This event started in 2008 at Piney Run Park in Sykesville, MD with 8 children in attendance. Last year's egg hunt, which was held at City Park, had over 800 in attendance. This year's event will be sponsored by The Baltimore Sound Stage Presents. This will be a musical event, as well as an Easter Egg Hunt. Our mission has always been focused on, but not limited to, serving minorities and the under privilged communities of Carroll County. Every year, this is projected to be one of the largest, most inclusive, and most diverse events in Carroll County.
6. Carroll County Farmer’s Market – Easter Show
Saturday, March 30⋅8:00am – 2:00pm
On Saturday, March 30th the Carroll County Farmer’s Market will hold its Easter Show; the hours are 8am-2pm. There will be a free drawing for vendor coupons to use at the Market on the 30th. The Easter Bunny will also be present for photo opportunities. So please bring your cameras. There will be vendors selling handmade candy and crafts to help fill Easter Baskets.
There will be between 75 vendors participating in this show. Among the handmade crafts and fine arts available are wreaths and spring decorations, jewelry, pottery, painted wood crafts, soaps, baskets, and so much more.
Our food stands provide home baked goods, including cakes, pies, scones, cookies, breads, rolls and biscotti. You will also find jams and jellies, candy, honey, nuts, dip mixes, fresh eggs, emu products; farm raised beef, and much more.
Our plant vendors will be here selling spring perennials, annuals, herb plants, as well as house plants.
The cafeteria is open during market hours for breakfast and lunch. Pancakes and egg sandwiches are great for breakfast and don’t miss out on a slice of homemade pie or cake.
7. Kids Easter Egg Hunt & Crafts
Sunday, March 31st at 9:45 AM
Deer Park United Methodist Church invites you to join us Easter Sunday for some Easter celebrations. Join us in thr church for a quick Easter message while the bunnies hide the eggs. Then we will head outside for the egg hunt followed by some fun crafts and games until the 11am Easter church service starts. Rain or shine, we will be in the social hall if rain.
