The Mayor and Common Council of Westminster (the “City”) will hold a public hearing to consider an Ordinance authorizing the issuance and sale of general obligation debt not to exceed $1,225,000.00 in aggregate principal amount (the “Bonds”) to be issued under the State of Maryland’s Local Government Infrastructure Financing Program, pursuant to the authority of Sections 4-101 through 4-255 of the Housing and Community Development Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended (the “Act”).  The purpose of this debt is to provide all or a portion of the funds necessary to (i) finance or refinance costs of a project generally referred to by the City as the Westminster Community Pool Improvements Project; (ii) fund reserves; and/or (iii) pay costs of issuance and other related costs of the Bonds, subject to the further provisions of such Ordinance.  The Ordinance was introduced at the Mayor and Common Council meeting held on June 8, 2020.
