Election Information:
Election Day - Mount Airy held a Special Mayoral Election on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Department Reception Hall located at 1008 Twin Arch Road, Mount Airy. Polls were open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Two candidates ran to fill the seat of Mayor following the passing of former Mount Airy Mayor, Patrick Rockinberg.

Mt Airy 2021 Mayoral Candidates Forum
The Community Media Center (CMC) held a public forum for candidates running for the office of Mayor in the Mt. Airy Special Election at the Mt. Airy Town Hall located at 110 S. Main Street, Mt. Airy, MD on Thursday October 14, 2021.
The following candidates ran for the office of mayor and participated in the forum: Larry Hushour, former Mt. Airy councilmember and Pamela Reed, current Mt. Airy councilmember.
