Joshua Gist (1747-1839) was a Patriot during the American Revolutionary War, a long-time resident of Westminster and a colonel in the Soldier’s Delight Battalion of Baltimore. He also commanded the 20^th Regiment of the Maryland Militia at the time of the Whiskey Rebellion.
