CALLING ALL VETERANS
The Community Media Center is honoring our local veterans by recording their stories of service to our Country.
We’re videotaping interviews with local veterans to preserve their personal accounts of our service for future generations.
You can be part of this historical record by sharing your story with us! These interviews not only give us a personal glimpse into military service, but they also provide your family with a lasting tribute to your contributions to our country. No matter what branch of the service you were in, if you served at home or abroad, during a time of conflict or at peace, we want to hear from you!
All videos become part of the Carroll County History Projects online archive for future generations to learn from and enjoy. On November 11, 2025 the interviews collected will be aired on cable channels 19 and HD-1072 during the Community Media Center's special all-day broadcast as a way to honor Carroll County Veterans!
This is a free service, there is never a charge to veterans to record their interviews.
Each veteran will receive a copy of his or her interview.

Explore Our Veterans Oral History Collection
It is the goal of the Veterans Oral History Collection that through the personal accounts of local veterans, viewers will better understand the realities of military service. By recording their stories, we not only honor their courage and patriotism, but also preserve their memories and provide a resource to our community. Over the years. we have been privledged to talk with veterans from every branch of service. We've spoken with individuals who served in WWII, Korea, the Vietnam era, Afganistan and beyond. Some saw combat while others served in support roles, and many had friends who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Through these personal accounts we begin to see how military service can impact every aspect of life, egardless of whether a person served overseas or stateside.
