Carroll County Veterans Salute
Be sure to tune in on November 11th as the Community Media Center salutes our local veterans. CMC will present a special all-day broadcast to celebrate our local service men & women on Veterans Day starting at 9:00 AM.
You can watch the Carroll County Veterans Salute on cable channels HD-1072 and channel 19. CMC will continue to feature veterans interviews on our channels throughout the month of November.
We would like to thank all the local veterans who participated in our Veterans Oral History Collection Day. Servicemen from the Army, Navy and Marines joined us to share their stories of service - we even had the honor to speak with a Navy Cross recipient! Their interviews will be added to the Carroll County History Projects online video archive for future generations to learn from and enjoy.

Welcome!
The Carroll County History Project was created by the Community Media Center (CMC) in 2008 as an ongoing, multi-part effort to preserve the history of Carroll County, Maryland by collecting videotaped memories of the people who live here and by producing documentary programs about the county, local issues, and the unique experiences of area residents.
These stories, from everyday people, help to paint a picture of Carroll County’s history and how it has changed throughout the years. These personal accounts help bring history to life, and put a name and a face on local events.
Our online Oral History Video Collection is divided into several playlists: Carroll County Remembers, Carroll County: Through the Eyes of the Black Experience, Carroll County Veterans and Local Documentaries. All contain video interviews with local residents who shared their personal story. We invite you to explore our collections below.
