Celebrate Halloween in Carroll County with these fun local events!  This is your last chance to see if you can find your way through the Ag Center's Corn Maze. Plus, you won't want to miss Mount Airy Main Street Association's action packed Hallo-weekend, filled with cocoa and candy. You can also support Carroll County Special Olympics by joining them for a fun afternoon of Bingo. In for a thrill? Carroll Arts Council, as part of their Halloween movie series, brings you their showing of Rocky Horror. Get your costumes ready! There are lots of Trunk or Treats this weekend. Join the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce at the Westminster Mall, and the South Carroll Lioness' for their trunks- plus a premiere of Hocus Pocus. South Carroll High school brings you their annual Trunk or Treat, and their Haunted House is sure to get creepy! Before you get your candy, head over to the Winfield Fire Department to partake of Food Truck Thursdays!

1. Food Truck Thursdays

Thursday, October 28th, 4:00 – 8:00pm

Food Truck Thursdays Winfield brings together a lots of food trucks! Cuisine ranges from pizza, to cupcakes, tacos, crab cakes, and more. Located at the Winfield Fire Department from 4-8 pm, there is lots of covered outdoor seating and free parking. Enjoy your yummy dishes and support the Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department!

2. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Scary-Tale Endings Series)

Friday, October 29th at 10:00 PM

$$ - Don your cool costumes and join the Carroll Arts Council for their annual screening of a Halloween classic. Fans with the best costumes will rewarded with special prizes! Keep in mind, no outside props are allowed.

3. Trunk or Treat (@ The Westminster Mall)

Saturday, October 30⋅1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Rain or Shine, this Saturday the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the TownMall of Westminster are partnering for a special Halloween Trunk or Treat! Chamber Members are encouraged to decorate their trunks, or set up a booth/tent to distribute candy to any guest at the event. Guests don't need to register, but if you are interested in being a vendor, register today.

4. Hocus Pocus showing & Trunk or Treat

Saturday, October 30⋅4:00 – 8:00pm

Rawr! South Carroll Lioness Lions Club treats the community to a Trunk or Treat, with a showing of Hocus Pocus to follow! For infants to those under 16, there will be costume and coloring contest. Trunk or Treat is 4-6, and the movie starts at 6:30. Bring a mask and your chair for the movie, and feel free to offer a donation on your way in.  A concessions stand with refreshments will be open. All proceeds benefit Lions projects and charities! In case of rain, the date is Oct 31st. Contact Ginger at 301-653- 5839 for any questions.

5. Little Shop of Horrors- presented by Small Town Stars

October 31, 2021, 12:00am – November 1, 2021, 1:30am

$$- Based on the film by Robert Corman and screenplay by Charles Griffith, Small Town Stars theater company presents Little Shop of Horrors. They have multiple showings, but on their Midnight performances come ready for some extra gore, an audience costume contest, raffle, and horror movie trivia. The afternoon showing will be more kid-friendly, offering crafts and games before the show, a raffle, and candy! 6. Designer Bag Bingo for Carroll County Special Olympics

Sunday, October 31st, 1:00 – 4:00pm

Benefitting Carroll County Special Olympics, Designer Bag Bingo will have vendors, and lots of concessions as you Bingo. Tickets cost $20, and let you play 20 games- get one before they are sold out! Only 300 tickets are available. Raffles, and other specials will also be up for purchase. Reserve your tickets by calling Donna at 443-507-6010 or messaging her on Facebook.

7. South Carroll Trunk or Treat and Haunted House

Thursday, October 28th, 6:00 – 8:00pm

Open to kids in the local community, South Carroll National Honors Society presents South Carroll's annual Trunk or Treat. There will be lots of trunks with Halloween candy, and SGA will be handing out snacks. Businesses can also advertise with a trunk, for a small $10 fee. Parents are required to stay in the area accompanying their child, and there will be tables outside for seating. It is free to attend, and have your child wear a cool costume as they trunk or treat! Many of the cars will be decorated with fun themes. The South Carroll drama program is also hosting a Haunted House, with live actors and spooky scenes in the auditorium. Cost is $5 to attend the Haunted House.

8. HalloWeekend 2021

The Mount Airy Main Street Association has some great activities for the kiddies this weekend!

Oct 29, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

$- On Friday, The Park After Dark: Spooky Story Time, will be an evening filled with hot cocoa, s'mores, and spooky stories by a fire pit! Located at Simpson-Baker-Bowlus Popup Park, come with blankets and chairs, dressed warmly. Tickets include bottomless hot chocolate, your s'mores, and MAMSA garb. Additional drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

Oct 30, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

$- Support a FUNdraiser for the Mount Airy Main Street Association by heading over to their 2nd Annual Candy Crawl this Saturday! Each attendee (2 years+) must have a ticket, and will receive a hand stamp in order to collect their candy. Register online, and have fun trick-or-treating at the shops and businesses along Main Street! Parking is available at Calvary UMC Back Lot, 403 S Main St, Mt Airy.

9. Corn Maze - Final Weekend!

Dates Include: Friday the 29th,  6:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Saturday the 30th, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM; & Sunday the 31st, 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
