There's still time to visit the 2022 Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair this week.  Festivities wrap up on Saturday with the Car Demolition Derby at the Buck Miller Arena.  You won't want to miss the 51st Annual Old-Fashioned Corn Roast Festival at Union Mills Homestead, or swing by Carroll Arts Center and take in the special exhibit: Agricolor.  Carroll County Restaurant Week kicks off on Sunday, visit the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce website to learn about great deals from local eateries.  And get ready, the HAMPSTEAD FIRE COMPANY CARNIVAL starts on Monday and runs all week with rides, games and live entertainment for the whole family!

2. 51st Annual Old-Fashioned Corn Roast Festival

Saturday August 6 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Enjoy all the roasted corn that you can eat! Each meal ticket includes a serving of fried chicken, applesauce, sliced tomatoes, roll and butter, iced tea or lemonade and … 

Corn is roasted in the husk served at your table.


Gift Shop and Blacksmith Shop open


Tours of the historic House and Mill for a fee (11 am – 5 pm, last combination tour starts at 4 pm)

3. Agricolor

Now thru Saturday, August 27

This exhibition shows the different aspects of cultivating agricultural land. Each piece celebrates farming as a necessity to support a thriving community of individuals. From growing crops, to the rearing of animals for food or wool, we see the beauty from sunrise to sundown while tilling the soil. Mediums featured vary with sculpture and painting both displayed.

4. Car Demolition Derby

Saturday, August 7th at 5:00 PM

Wrap up the 2022 Carroll County 4H & FFA Fair with the annual Car Demolition Derby! Come out early and reserve your spot for the annual Car Demolition Derby!

Remember to bring your lawn chair or blanket. There will no alcohol, or outside food or beverages allowed.

5. Carroll County Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week, an annual event hosted by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, is a week-long celebration of Carroll County’s finest cuisine! This event is designed to encourage the discovery of new restaurants or repeat visits to your favorite eatery within Carroll County.

Monday August 8th  – Saturday, August 13th

Monday thru Friday from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m.

Saturday from 5:00 pm – 11:30 p.m.

Enjoy Rides, games great food and live entertainment! Delicious platters will be served nightly inside the air-conditioned hall. The kitchen will be open Monday – Friday beginning at 6:00 pm, and Saturday beginning at 5:00 pm. 

Avoid parking hassles! Park at North Carroll High School, and ride the shuttle for free. Shuttle buses will run Monday thru Friday from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m., and Saturday from 5:00 pm – 11:30 p.m.
