1. Third Annual Invincible Summer: Patrick Kisicki Memorial Music Festival
Saturday, September 14th from 2:00 PM – 7:30 PM
$ - This is a drug and alcohol free event. Attendees may bring their own food, blankets and chairs. Games provided by Carroll's Early Childhood Education students.
Patrick Kisicki was a passionate musician, composer and educator who had a profound impact on all who knew him. He taught music courses, conducted ensembles and coordinated the guitar department at Carroll Community College from 2008-2015. He also taught at Peabody Preparatory, West Middle Schol, Encore Summer Music Camp, Maryland Performing Arts Institute and at Coffey Music.
2. Bluegrass, Bourbon & Bocce
Friday, Sepember 13th from 6:00 pn - 9:00 pm
$$ -Join the Historical Society of Carroll County for an evening of music, food and fun at its inaugural Bluegrass, Bourbon & Bocce event, featuring the music of nationally known bluegrass band Sideline. Enjoy the music, gourmet burgers and hand-cut fries, frozen custard from The Cow, soft drinks, and free bourbon tastings from Patapsco Distilling Company. Beer from Johansson’s and a variety of wines will be available for purchase. After dinner, play bocce under the stars on a lighted court

FREE - Come get your holiday shopping started and support a great cause. This festival is to benefit Sober Truth of Taneytown to continue their work in the community in the fight against addiction.
4. Big Country Breakfast Buffet
Sunday, September 15th at 7:30 am
$$ - The Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company (MAVFC) will host a Big Country Breakfast Buffet. The buffet will feature scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, bacon, French toast, pancakes, biscuits, home fries, sausage and chipped beef gravies, baked apples, waffles, coffee, orange juice, milk, tea and hot chocolate.

Saturday, September 14th at 5:30 pm
$$- Bag & Basket Bingo at Union Bridge Community Center, 4770 Ladiesburg Rd, Union Bridge, MD, September 14, to benefit St James Lutheran Church of Union Bridge. Doors open at 5:30 PM and games begin at 7PM. Tickets are $10 in advance/$12 at door & includes 20 games. $$- Since 1974, this group has been bringing young and old alike a taste of the American Music Scene from the 1950’s through the 70’s. Their costumed impersonations of some of the greatest legends of Rock & Roll capture the true likeness of the original artist and will take you on a musical journey you won’t forget. The Hubcaps were inducted into the Southern Legends Performing Arts Hall of Fame, the Maryland Entertainment Hall of Fame, and named the 2015 Vocal Group of the Year by the Maryland Entertainment Hall of Fame.
7. Porch Talk - A Slave's Grandson Remembers
Sunday, September 15th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FREE- September 15. Approaching his 99th birthday (this November) Warren Dorsey still burns with the passion to educate, enlighten, and sing. Warren's grandmother was a slave. The town recently named a park after his mother (Carrie Dorsey Park), and Gate House curator Jack White wrote a popular book about Warren's family. Listening to Warren is like listening to history. Come hear.2-3 p.m. Talks begin at 2pm. Arrive a bit early for refreshments and to grab a chair on our covered porch. 3-4 p.m. Stay after for questions, conversation & to tour the museum.
These events are free. We provide about 25 seats on covered porch plus canopies and room for your chairs on the lawn around the porch. Rain or shine with option to move inside. Optional RSVP below (to receive a reminder two days before the event).

8. Music in the Park - Main Street Memorial Park
Saturday, September 14th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FREE- Don't miss this free concert series at the Main Street Memorial Park on the second and fourth Saturdays in June, July & August and the second Saturday in September! Music begins at 6:00 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 p.m. There will be plenty of food and drink on hand to sate your hunger and slake your thirst as you listen to the sounds of great local bands. Join us on Saturday, September 21, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Ascension Episcopal Church in Westminster!
Look for a spaghetti dinner, an interactive family program, craft time for children and the movie, "Heroin Still Kills" from the Carroll County States Attorneys' Office for parents and older children. Kids will meet Deputy Yox and the Sheriff's Office's search and Rescue dog, Pinky!
