Fall Sports Season Wrap Up Show
CMSportsNet - Premiering December 19, 2019 on channel HD-1086
Westminster, Maryland (December 17, 2019) – On December 19, 2019 the Community Media Center (CMC) will premiere the CMSportsNet Fall Season Wrap Up Show. The program will air at 7:30 pm on Cable channel HD-1086. The half-hour broadcast, hosted by sports columnist, Mike Preston will look back at the 2019 fall sports season in Carroll County. CMSportsNet will feature a season retrospective of the Westminster Girls high school soccer team, the Westminster Varsity Football team and the inaugural season of Carroll Lynx Men’s Soccer.
Special guests include Westminster Girls Soccer Coach, Danielle Midkiff, Westminster Defensive Line Coach, Marlon Jordan and Head Coach for the Carroll Lynx Men’s Soccer team, Tom O'Brien. Carroll County Times, Megan Woodward will provide league wrap up reports and Kris Gooding, Director of Education and Development for The Links at Challedon will report on the 2019 golf season. In addition, Supervisor of Athletics for Carroll County Public Schools, Michael Duffy will talk about his first year on the job and the impact re-classification has had Carroll County’s sports programs.
Throughout the 2019 fall season, CMSportsNet provided weekly game summaries of Carroll Lynx Men’s Soccer games, Westminster Football and Westminster Girls Soccer. Game summaries were broadcast on HD -1086, on Channel 19 and distributed across social media. CMSportsNet’s Fall Season Wrap-Up Show will air on HD 1086 – Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 PM thru February 9, 2020. The program will also air on Channel 19 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 PM. CMSportsNet’s local game coverage is truly a community driven effort. Local volunteers help CMC staff by recording games, writing scripts and announcing games summaries. Local businesses have also supported the program through sponsorships and in-kind donations.

Planning is underway for the 2020 spring sports season coverage, and the CMC is actively recruiting volunteers to help. All that is required is a passion for the game and a willingness to learn, the Media Center staff will provide all the training and equipment needed.
