CMC working

Keeping you connected

While the Community Media Center may be closed to the public due to COVID-19, we've haven't stopped working to keep you informed.

In fact we've increased our productions and shared technology to bring you virtual meetings from all our local municipalities to help you stay up-to-date on what's happening in your community. We're partnering with local organizations and nonprofits to bring you webinars and live online events to educate, inform and entertain you and your family. We're supporting our local nonprofits as they work to provide services to our community. And we've continued our commitment to celebrate our local history and time-honored traditions. We stream these programs live across multiple platforms including our website, facebook, youtube, channel 19, channel 23 and HD-1086 all to ensure that everyone has access to the information and programs they need. We are continually exploring and testing new technology and methods to help us expand our coverage and better serve our community - during the pandemic and beyond.

During these challenging times, the Community Media Center is here to help connect, inform and celebrate everything that makes Carroll County the place we call home.  It's our way of keeping us together - while we're apart.

We are reducing our on-site staff down to essential employees only. Staff will continue to monitor with email communications and voice forwarding and request that communications be kept to those most urgent and required to sustain our emergency operations.

Additionally, we will offer equipment and services to our local municipalities to assist in maintaining public access to governmental proceedings via technology and will make our studio available to municipalities to record special announcements for their communities as needed.

During this time we will continue to provide the community with programming on our Comcast cable channels: HD-1086, Channel 19 and Channel 23 and on our website at www.carrollmediacenter.org.

The programming and channels 23 and 1086 may be preempted with emergency information and notifications as needed.
