Judge's comments for this category:
Destiny Morning:
Production Value (Graphics, Video/Directing, Audio, Editing): Cute, clever, and well crafted. The video “effects” of ironic or surreal elements were extremely well executed, as well as appearing seamless. Great flow. Some shots were shaky with minor blurring issues and would benefit from stabilizing camera. Watched multiple times and each time this brought a smile to my face.
Aesthetic Value (Creativity, Program Pacing, Content): Extremely creative, fun, and a pleasure to watch, both from a videographer's standpoint and casual viewer. Great job!
Ideas in Writing:
Production Value (Graphics, Video/Directing, Audio, Editing): Commentary/discussion has excessive cuts which causes unnecessary tension, appears choppy, and hinders flow. Stronger direction needed to focus commenters on engaging camera versus appearing to just be in front of camera.
Aesthetic Value (Creativity, Program Pacing, Content): Interview clips are more interesting and dynamic than discussion format. Video might benefit from a host to guide program along and help with discussion flow.
Spring Celebration Concert:
Production Value (Graphics, Video/Directing, Audio, Editing): It's hard to document work well, whereas they seem presented versus crafted. This is a solid video showcasing the concert, but lacks visual interest and daunting pace. Granted both attributes are tied to content, but need more panache when competing against many other dynamic entries.
