Event Coverage

The CMC believes that local TV should reflect local people and their activities and that this encourages a sense of identity and connection to the local community. Hopefully that will translate into a more active and participatory citizenry.

Through the use of CMC staff and trained volunteers the center covers community events that the public is interested in viewing or archiving for historical reasons (i.e, musical concerts, speakers and community forums, service club events etc.). Request forms are available by individuals or organizations and are reviewed bi-weekly by staff to determine if they meet the general criteria and there is available staff and/or volunteers to cover and edit a program.

As a non-profit organization the CMC relies heavily on volunteers to assist in every aspect of production. For this reason, it is recommended that you provide as much notice as possible, at least two weeks. To have events covered simply fill out a project request form and it will be reviewed by the CMC staff. Organizations will be contacted with a decision at least one week prior to the event.
