James Meerdter
James is the Director of Film and Media at The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Georgetown. He's also been a member of the CMC for the past few years. Seeing your work on television is exciting for any aspiring filmmaker. With the CMC, it's easier than ever. James' last short won a local television award.

Joel Ready
Joel Ready is one of CMC's young producers. Joel got his start in video production by attending the Carroll County Career & Technology Center's video production class. While attending this class he was trained and worked in all areas of video production. He also appeared as on-air talent in a number of the school's news programs in addition to working behind the camera as director. Joel continued his video training by completing a CMC internship where he worked on a number of great video projects including a promo for Harry's Diner that aired during the CMC President's Day Auction. Joel also appeared as on air talent for the CMC 2006 Open House.
After completing his internship Joel became a member of the CMC and produced a program informing Carroll County residents about The City on the Hill Conference. This was a short documentary about a youth leadership conference where students learn about politics and the inner goings-on of government.
Matthew Roe
Matthew Roe is one of CMC's young community producers. He was trained by former Volunteer Coordinator Kevin Walla and has been awarded the 2008 Vollie Award for Best Programming for/by Youth for his first short 2007 film Remedy and subsequently nominated for the 2010 Vollie Award for Best Entertainment Production for his cult-followed 2009 feature film Stallions & Mules. His 2010 feature Suburban Children was given an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Movie Awards in Experimental Film and he is attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Cinematic Arts.
