10th Annual Open House
Nonprofits joined us on Friday, December 5th, 2008 as we continued our tradition of the Live Holiday Open House
For the tenth year, we turned our studio over to the nonprofit community to tell Carroll County how their organization makes this community a better place to live and work. Many participated before and know the importance of educating the public about their organization and the value of their services. At this time of year organizations and individuals are looking for ways to make charitable donations. This was their opportunity to tell viewers about their specific needs whether it be funding for a new roof or donations of food for the needy.

On Friday, Dec. 5, I had the great fortune of participating for the first time in the Community Media Center's 10th Annual Live Holiday Open House for Non-Profits.
This is the day when the CMC opens the studio for the entire day to local non-profits, providing them the opportunity to tell viewers about the mission of their organization and the various programs and services they provide to the community.
I would like to commend the staff and volunteers at CMC for their support and guidance, and for opening their doors to our community's non-profits, allowing us to receive the free media exposure. It is truly a blessing for our agencies in this time of economic hardship.
Congratulations CMC on a job well done.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to again participate in the "Holiday Open House for Non-Profits".
In these difficult economic times it is wonderful to be able to share our program, services and needs.
Many thanks again for making this all possible.
