Become a Member of the CMC


The Community Media Center of Carroll County invites you to get involved and help "Make Community Matter"! Follow your dreams of producing your own television show. Or get the word out about an issue that is important to you or this community.

Membership is open to residents and non-profit organizations of Carroll as well as Maryland non-profit organizations that serve Carroll County.

Members have access to a fully-functional television studio, an express studio for public service announcements, a program editing suite and assistance from an experienced production staff. Members may also take advantage of television production training programs, networking and volunteer opportunities.

The Community Media Center is a non-profit public-education-government (PEG) organization with a mission to give the local community a means to voice their concerns and interests. The CMC's operations are made possible through cable access fees and membership support.

Membership Levels and Dues

CMC membership runs on a yearly cycle from July through June. Membership dues will be prorated depending on a member's sign up date.

A range of membership options are available depending on your interests and goals. A Basic Membership is available at no charge for those who are interested in submitting Bulletin Board announcements or volunteering their time. Paid membership levels provide individuals and organizations with the valuable benefits of access to training and the use of professional quality video production equipment and facilities.

Membership dues are paid directly to the CMC to offset costs of the services provided, use of the facility, liability insurance and other miscellaneous costs. Memberships are available for individuals and organizations.
