My name is Simeon, I will be a Senior at Manchester Valley High School. I have been experimenting with video production since age six, and my passion for film has only progressed. I have made many films ranging from short films to music videos. I took the Video Production course at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center and created a PSA 'Let's Recycle' for the CMC that won Best In Show for the Carroll County High School Film Festival. I also competed in the Skills USA State Competition and was a Maryland State Winner for Video Production. My career goals are to attend the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, and direct feature length motion pictures. I also love producing music videos and other experimental films. I am interning at the CMC to gain more professional experience, as well as being able to stretch my creative boundaries.
Story telling is what connects us all, so let's be connected.
Hello! My name is Kendal Ford. I am going into my senior year at McDaniel College. I am a Communication major and interested in all things related to communication, media, and production. I have always been fascinated by the power and influence of television and films. Since entering college it has become even more aware to me that this is the way I want to make my mark on the world. This internship is not only a wonderful opportunity, but a great way for me to learn, network, and prepare for my career.
In the future, my dream is to be writing, directing and producing my own films. I feel like all of my life I have had story plots and ideas floating around in my head, just waiting to leak out of my fingertips, on to script, and then "coming soon to a theater near you".
I am EXTREMELY excited to see what this summer has in store for me at the Community Media Center.
