Film Lovers in Carroll County (FLICC) has chosen the 2012 film “Lincoln” to be screened at the Carroll Arts Center on Friday, May 19 at 1 pm & 7:30 pm. Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in this revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office.

In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

The matinee showing at 1 pm will have open captioning to increase the enjoyment of movies at the Arts Center for those with hearing impairments. The 7:30 pm showing will have captioning if requested in advance. Assistive Listening Devices are always available.

Sponsored by Carroll County Democratic Central Committee, “Lincoln” runs 2 hrs 30 mins and is rated PG-13.
