Join us for our Annual Advent celebration at Strawbridge Shrine in a 1760 Log Meeting House replica in beautiful New Windsor, Maryland. Strawbridge Shrine is the birthplace of the Wesleyan Methodist movement in 1760’s Colonial America and a historical ministry of the Baltimore-Washington United Methodist Church. Our countryside located campus includes the original home of the First Methodist Circuit rider in America Robert Strawbridge and his wife Elizabeth, the first convert to the Methodist movement, John Evans house and a replica of the Log Meeting House. This is a free, fun, family-friendly event with people in Colonial costumes, carol singing, candle light and followed by cookies and delicious hot spiced punch. To schedule a tour anytime for yourself or your group visit the website and click on “tours” or by phone. Tours are free and membership is available. Donations are always welcomed.
