The Ascension Country Breakfast is held on the first Saturday of every month. Come hungry, leave full. Called the best in Carroll County by many of our customers, a full all-you-can-eat breakfast menu including pancakes, Hahn sausage, scrambled eggs, hashed brown potatoes, egg and ham casserole, sausage gravy and biscuits, creamed chipped beef, assorted fruit, assorted pastries, fresh brewed coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, milk, and juices all at an affordable price. Plenty of parking in the lot behind the church off Ralph St.

The breakfast crew is always looking for more volunteers. If you would like to be involved with this monthly event that benefits the church financially, please contact the church office.

Guests at this year’s Winter Wine Warmer will gather around the fireplaces at Emerald Hill, sip a variety of ciders and wines, and experience HSCC’s exhibit, The Shellman House: Evergreen, Ever Changing, while listening to pianist Herb Sell serenade the room.

If you’re not ready to end the evening, take advantage of the special discounts offered by participating Westminster restaurants such as Paradiso, Johansson’s, Rafael’s and Lone Star BBQ. Lead sponsor for this year’s event is Bowman’s Feed and Pet Store.

This year’s exhibit is being underwritten through the generosity of Terry’s Tags & Title.  Wines are provided by House of Liquors and an assortment of ciders by Great Sholes Ciders. Reservations are required by December 29th, 2017.

Join a FREE 2 ½ hour workshop, held weekly for 6 weeks for adults with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or who live with someone that does. Many have learned the self-management approach and lowered their blood sugar, made fewer ER trips, and were less likely to end up in the hospital because of diabetes. These workshops don’t replace your diabetes treatment plan, but instead teaches you the best ways to work with your doctor and family, and helps you set your own goals for managing your diabetes. April 12 & 14, 2018.  The second day of the Battle of Gettysburg was the bloodiest day of the three-day battle.  The fight along the Emmitsburg Road played a key part in the fighting that day.  Explore the commanders, both Union and Confederate, involved in the fighting.  Discover the fighting that occurred near the Sherfy Peach Orchard, the Sherfy, Klingle and Rogers farms.  In the second class, walk the ground and see how it influenced the battle.  Explore the action along this line with licensed battlefield guide Phil Muskett.  On April 14th, Tour at Gettysburg begins at 10am – 1pm.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is a primary prevention event for Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County (RCIS). It is a men’s walk to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. RCIS asks men and women to walk one mile in women’s shoes through downtown Westminster. The walk concludes at Westminster City Park.

Tareq Rantisi received the Al-Qattan Foundation Music Scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music, receiving a degree in Percussion Performance, graduating with highest honors having mastered styles from jazz to Afro-Cuban to Carnatic Indian to Brazilian and more. Tareq has performed with some of the biggest names in modern music, including Jack deJohnette, Steve Smith, Paul Winter, Simon Shaheen, Aaron Goldberg, Srinivas Krishnan, Victor Mendoza, and many more.

Join a FREE 2 ½ hour workshop, held weekly for 6 weeks for adults with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or who live with someone that does. Many have learned the self-management approach and lowered their blood sugar, made fewer ER trips, and were less likely to end up in the hospital because of diabetes. These workshops don’t replace your diabetes treatment plan, but instead teaches you the best ways to work with your doctor and family, and helps you set your own goals for managing your diabetes. Sponsored by Carroll County Bureau of Aging & Disabilities.

The Ascension Country Breakfast is held on the first Saturday of every month. Come hungry, leave full. Called the best in Carroll County by many of our customers, a full all-you-can-eat breakfast menu including pancakes, Hahn sausage, scrambled eggs, hashed brown potatoes, egg and ham casserole, sausage gravy and biscuits, creamed chipped beef, assorted fruit, assorted pastries, fresh brewed coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, milk, and juices all at an affordable price. Plenty of parking in the lot behind the church off Ralph St.

The breakfast crew is always looking for more volunteers. If you would like to be involved with this monthly event that benefits the church financially, please contact the church office.
